The Festival | Underbelly

The Festival : Sat 12 & Sun 13 July

The festival weekend celebrates the work achieved by artists at the lab presenting a huge array of performances, installations and works in progress throughout Carriageworks and its immediate surroundings.

Artists rove amongst audiences, projecting onto walls, performing in tucked away corners, presenting music extravaganzas, dance, aerials and interactive exhibitions.

The festival program develops along with the artwork and as the lab begins we plan how artists would like to present their work on festival days. A similar program IS featureD on both days.

Festival times:

Saturday 12 July 12pm - 11pm

Sunday 13 July 2pm - 10pm

Please Note:

* Sunday is slightly shorter in length but the same price as Saturday. This is because staffing costs are higher on a Sunday!

* Sunday will also feature a special closing event in association with FBI 94.5FM. For the final hour of the Festival (9-10pm) we will tune into FBI's Sunday Night At the Movies (the Sound Art show). This show will feature audio collected throughout the Lab by FBI producers - a remix and rehashing of everything Underbelly. If you are at the Festival you will not only hear this soundtrack, but you will witness a special VJ performance of projections in the massive Carriageworks foyer. An audio/visual treat!

So coming one day of the Festival means you can experience all of the artists, coming both days means you will see all of their work and more!

CHANGES TO PROGRAM

Due to unforseen circumstances, The Whale Chorus will not be performing on Sunday 13th.

Perforation 245 has been censored and forced to change location.

Perforation 245 2.0 will now feature evening projections and roaming throughout the foyer.

Shuttle Service:

Courtesy of Australia In Style (AIS)shuttlebuses will run between Carriageworks to Redfern station on both festivalnights.

Times:

Sat 12th: 8.30PM - 11.30PM (every half hour on the half hour)
Sun 13th: 7.30PM - 10.30PM (every half hour on the half hour)
