Well, we made it! Back for a second year with 40 projects, over 250 artists, 60 volunteers, 30 crew, pot plants & astro turf, dreadlocks, latex body parts, a heritage bus, nearly 50 projectors and an elephant in a room...

Underbelly Public Arts Lab and Festival 08 ran on a lotta love and a shoestring.

The journey has been an honour but also a challenge and we got here with the help of so many amazing people. We thank them from the bottom of our arty hearts - for the advice, the mentoring, the in kind support and for the last minute donations to get us over the line. We have also been inspired by the support from the arts community, the media and you the audience. We were so excited to be back again doing what we love.

We also apologise for the capacity problems in some of the smaller rooms on Festival days. To anyone who missed out on shows, we are truly sorry and will make sure that better capacity, better programming and better management occurs in the future. What did the event mean to you this year?
